About us
Audiovisual production taught by people who run live shows
cleverscribe is an informative course resource that distils decades of broadcast studio, camera, lighting and sound experience into clear, practical learning.
Our story
From the gallery floor to the classroom
cleverscribe began with a simple frustration: the best knowledge about running a television studio lived in the heads of a few senior engineers. We set out to capture it in structured courses that any ambitious crew member in the United Kingdom can follow.
Today our programmes cover broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering and streamlined workflows for networks, production companies and live event teams.

What we value
Principles behind every course
Precision
Every lesson is built around how real galleries and studios behave, down to cable labels and talkback etiquette.
Live-first thinking
Our material is designed for transmission day, when there is no second take and every handover matters.
Team craft
Great programmes come from camera, lighting, audio and production working as one crew.
Safe, compliant output
We teach UK loudness, rigging and electrical safety practice alongside creative technique.
How we teach
Studio-based learning, not slideshows
Each module pairs a short briefing with a working exercise on a studio floor: patch a lighting rig, shade a three-camera set, build a mix for a panel show or draft a run sheet for a live event.
